Agency Philosphy
The operating principles of Christian Help, Inc. are quite simple; serve the less-fortunate freely with what resources it has to give and do so in a Christ-like manner. Christian Help does not discriminate on any basis nor ask for unnecessary proof to show that one is needy. It is difficult enough having the stigma of being poor so our procedures reflect a gentle treatment of our clients.
This philosophy derives mainly from a passage from St. Matthew in the New Testament:
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you received me in your home, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.'
"The righteous will then answer him 'Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you in our homes, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison and visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'Amen, I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did for me!"
