Donations

Christian Help accepts all kinds of donations. Please feel free to call or email if you are able to make any kind of donation. Only drop off items during daily operating hours, items that are left outside of the building after closing must be discarded, as unattended items are often soiled, and must be thrown away.

For clothing and household item donations, please drop off items during daily operating hours.

For furniture or appliance donations, please call or email because limited space does not allow us to store these donations. Instead, we match the person in need with the donor to make further arrangements for transport. If needed, a volunteer from Christian Help, Inc. in the Morgantown area can be arranged to pick up some items.

For food items, our pantry only accepts non-perishable food, including tea, coffee, and powdered milk. Our food pantry is always in the highest need for canned meat and protein. Please drop off items during daily operating hours.

• Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) West Virginia state tax credit: NIP was established by the West Virginia Legislature to increase charitable giving to local non-profit organizations. By donating to NIP organizations, individuals can help their community and earn West Virginia state tax credits. The minimum eligible cash donation upon which a tax credit can be issued is $500. Financial donors are eligible to receive 50% of the contribution amount in the form of West Virginia state tax credits to reduce the following West Virginia taxes; Corporate Net Income Tax, Business Franchise Tax, and Personal Income Tax. These credits may be claimed all in one year or spread over a five-year period. For more information and filling instructions go to WV State Tax Department.
• Electronic funds transfers using you credit/debt card can be made through the following secure site (please note there will be a 3% surcharge taken by Helping.org for any transaction):
• Contributions of stocks or other assets can be arranged by contacting your financial accountant and working directly with us.
• You can name us as a beneficiary in your will or bequest; this needs to be worked out with a financial advisor.
