Free Clothing Store

The Christian Help, Inc. Free Clothing Store is open to the public Monday through Friday. Our clients may come in once per day and browse the racks for clothing or shoes, and whatever else might find its way into the store. Thanks to the miracle of in-kind donations, each client may walk away with as much as two grocery bags full of items. All for free!
On average, the Free Clothing Store sees about 120 clients a day. In 2009, there were an astounding 25,787 visits, not including children.

Housewares
Sometimes, our clients come to us when they truly have nothing. Perhaps they were evicted. Perhaps a fire claimed all their possessions. Perhaps they had to leave everything behind when they moved on to a new place in their life. And at times like these, it is good to know there is somewhere for them to turn for something so basic as a blanket, or a plate to eat off of.
The Housewares Rooms at Christian Help are comprised entirely of donations, and are therefore very dependent on the community for the resources they have offered. However, Christian Help has been lucky enough to gather everything from pots and pans, spatulas and silverware, to bowls, cups, plates and mugs. Small appliances have even been made available, such as toasters or microwaves. The Linen Closet has sheet sets, comforters, sleeping bags and pillows, as well as curtains and table cloths. Basically, the Housewares program offers whatever our clients may require to meet their most basic needs at home.
