Mens' Career Closet (MCC)
THE PURPOSE OF THE MEN'S CAREER CLOSET (MCC) IS TO PROVIDE CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES NECESSARY TO SECURE AND MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT.
MCC, the latest addition to Christian Help, Inc. (CHI), offers clothing, shoes and accessories at NO COST to men who are working, seeking employment or participating in a job training program leading to employment. Customers are referred from area workforce development, vocational training, education and social service agencies as well as employers and co-workers. During 2009, 398 men made visits to this closet.
The MCC has grown from its humble beginning and is constantly being improved. Thanks to the generosity of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, we are able to provide steel toed boots to men entering or employed in industries requiring them. Men representing most major industries in North Central WV avail themselves of this service.
In addition to clothing and shoes, the MCC offers other services to working men.
- Resume preparation and application assistance
- Information and referral to vocational and educational programs
- Information and referral to other community services
- Career related assistance and workshops
The MCC has clothing and accessories for all area occupations:
- Suits, sport coats and dress slacks
- Casual work attire, including black cotton pants and khakis
- Scrubs
- Jeans
- Button, polo style and tee shirts
- Shoes and boots
- Undergarments and socks
- Belts and ties
- Sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets
There is no income or age requirement
WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO OUR VOLUNTEERS, SUPPORTERS AND DONORS. THE GREATER MORGANTOWN COMMUNITY IS VERY GENEROUS. HOWEVER, THERE ARE ITEMS FOR WHICH DEMAND EXCEEDED SUPPLY. IN RESPONSE TO THIS, WE OFFER OUR WISH LIST:

Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, 1st Saturday of each month unless it falls on a Holiday Weekend, then it's the 2nd Saturday of the month.
